Old Peru Stamps - New Peru Stamps
The first Peru stamp was issued in 1857 and the most recent was probably issued today. Over 150 years of Peru stamps have exhibited an unusual independence in attitude and design.
Stamps of Peru are designed with Peruvian subjects in mind and are issued for Peru postal purposes not for the interest of Peru stamp collectors. Yet, there are many well illustrated issues from the 1930’s that are very much on the mind of Peru topical stamp collectors today. Peru fish stamps, Peru stamps with gold art and Peru stamps of the Inca Empire are collected worldwide.
